Privacy & offline use
Recipe data stays in this browser. This app has no accounts of its own, backend recipe database, cloud sync, analytics, telemetry, remote fonts, external image loads, URL imports or recipe uploads. No recipe contents are put in URLs or sent in requests. This website is public; your entered recipe data stays on your device. Browser storage is not encrypted.
Local data
The browser stores one committed project and its checkmarks plus one prior successful save in localStorage. Unsaved form edits exist only in memory. A success state appears only after the app reads back the saved data. If storage is denied, full or unavailable, your working calculation remains usable and the status says unsaved. Download a portable JSON backup.
Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to read its local recipes. Clearing site data, changing profiles, uninstalling the browser or using private browsing can remove local data. Keep your own backup; this website is not backup storage.
Offline
The service worker caches the app’s own static files after a successful first load. Wait for “App cached for offline use” before relying on it offline. It fetches only same-origin static resources and falls back to that cache when the network fails. No recipe is added to the cache or uploaded. Browser cache eviction or device policy can remove offline support.
The hosting platform may process ordinary requests to deliver this public website. That is separate from the calculator’s local recipe storage. Do not use a shared browser profile for confidential recipes.
Files and deletion
Backup download is an explicit local file action. Downloaded JSON uses a temporary local blob URL, never a hosted export URL. Private print packets use noindex metadata while being prepared; neither action creates a public recipe link. Restore reads a selected local JSON file in memory; it does not upload it. Browser print may save a local PDF or send a job to a printer you choose. Keep those files and printer destinations under your control.
To erase the app’s local data, first export any needed backup, then use your browser’s site-data settings to clear this site’s storage and cached files. This does not erase separately downloaded JSON or PDF files.
