Sources & evidence
The arithmetic policy and worked acceptance cases come from the supplied Baker Batch Bench research brief dated 8 October 2026. This build demonstrates a bounded workflow; it does not establish demand, willingness to pay or real bakery operational suitability.
Evidence recorded in the supplied brief
- Breadit production spreadsheet discussion (2019): firsthand aggregation of store orders into mixer weights.
- Home spiral-mixer discussion (2026): reported batch mass and piece-count workflow; not a machine capacity recommendation.
- The Fresh Loaf spreadsheet template discussion (2014): preferment accounting and rounding concerns.

Existing tools
The brief names Baking Maths, Bread Boss, and Batch Scale. We make no current pricing or exclusive-feature claim. A private recipe scaler is not a novelty claim.
Unvalidated questions
Would bakers return for another run? Do helpers prefer these bowl sheets to existing spreadsheets? Does proportional preferment reconciliation solve a meaningful problem? Consented interviews with at least five adult bakers and observed task completion are proposed future validation, not completed research. Software acceptance testing remains the developer’s responsibility.
